Lots of fun and variety

We have been so happy with the care and attention our daughter has received at Little Wombles. She has learnt so much, having developed independence, broadened her vocabulary, understood the importance of sharing and most importantly, had lots of fun and variety throughout. We couldn’t be more appreciative of the staff who have taken such an interest in her development and supported her to take her first steps into the big wide world. - Sarah H, Parent

We are delighted to announce that Little Wombles has been given the Bronze award from the Mayor of London's Healthy Early Years London scheme. We are one of only two nurseries in Wandsworth Borough to receive this accreditation.

The process was long and demanding, we had to meet a variety of very specific criteria and provide evidence in regards to:

  • The Personal Development, behaviour and welfare of our children
  • The Quality of teaching, learning and assessment at Little Wombles
  • Effective Leadership and management in the setting

The content also had a lot to do with how we promote healthy lifestyles and physical development.

Receiving this award has been wonderful confirmation that standards at Little Wombles remain extremely high and that we as a team continue to strive for the best for the children in our care.

Kindergarden at Little Wombles

At Little Wombles we really value the importance of outdoor education and learning about the world around us. Nicky recently wrote an article for The Inter Schools Advertiser which outlined the impact of Kindergarden, one of our weekly specialist sessions.

Kindergarden has made such a positive impact on our children and contributes to their development across all areas of The Early Years Foundation stage.

Most amazing nursery

Little Wombles has been the most amazing nursery. Our daughter has thrived in your care and I couldn’t have asked for a better place/people to take care of her over the past 3 years. People are always so impressed by the things she knows/what she can do or say and it’s pretty much all down to you guys and the specialist classes and the amazing nurturing that you provide. We will all miss it, having being such a huge part of our lives!

No akward school gate moments here

We have had 2 boys at Little Wombles, both very different characters (one very keen on learning, and the other loves outdoors and playtime) and both have thrived. The staff are brilliant, very kind and patient. Both boys have surprised me on many occasions by coming home having learnt a vast array of different things. Alphabet and numbers from a very early age, not to mention sports, french and nature classes, and also some school trips to see fire engines, natural history museum and Sea World. All of this, along side having loads of fun and making great friends with lovely children. The other Wombles parents have been great too. All very chatty and smiley at drop off and pick up, no akward school gate moments here. We are all sad to say goodbye to the girls who have taken such good care of our boys over the years.
